Quick and effective repairs are crucial to preventing further deterioration when damage occurs.

Fix Small Issues Early Before They Get Worse

Paved surfaces can deteriorate over time due to exposure to the elements, vehicle traffic, and chemical spills. Alligator cracks, potholes, and other surface damage can compromise the safety and appearance of your parking lot or roadway. There are several different types of patching techniques we employ, in order to fix the exact problem:

Saw Cut and Replace
Crews cut straight, clean edges around the damaged section of pavement, then remove the failed asphalt and any weak base material beneath it. They fill the opening with fresh hot mix in lifts, compact each layer, and seal the edges, which restores a sound structure and keeps water from seeping into the joint.

Infrared Repair
Reheats the damaged pavement and the asphalt around it until the material softens, usually to about 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Crews then rake the softened asphalt, mix in fresh hot mix and/or asphalt rejuvenator, and compact the area so the patch fuses with the original surrounding pavement. This seamless bond leaves no cold joint where water can enter, which makes the repair more durable than a traditional cut-and-fill patch while reducing material waste and labor time. This process is faster, has a superior visual appearance, and is less noisy and disruptive than saw cuts.

Skin Patching
For minor surface issues or drainage problems, we often recommend skin patching. This method involves applying a thin layer of new material over the existing surface. While this technique offers a quick fix for superficial damage, it’s less durable than deeper repairs, and should only be considered as a temporary solution.
